Funeral Director Assistant

McAdam's Funeral Home is looking for a reliable and energetic individual to join our growing team. Our funeral home offers a fast paced and dynamic work environment in the heart of downtown Fredericton.

The successful candidate will receive on the job training and clothing allowance.

Responsibilities

• Assisting on Funerals
• Set up of flowers and equipment for visitations, gatherings, and receptions at the funeral home and offsite
• Set up and assistance at graveside services
• Building and vehicle maintenence (vacuuming, washing and fueling cars, general funeral home cleanliness and other related tasks)
• Transportation of deceased clients from hospitals, nursing homes and other locations
• Crematorium work

Qualifications

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with grieving families in a compassionate manner
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and details simultaneously
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

Requirements:

• Valid drivers licence
• Criminal record check
• Must be able to commute

French not required

Please note that this position will require heavy lifting at times.
