We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Support Specialist with expertise in both Azure and AWS to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.


Key elements of this role include:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor cloud environments using tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and other third-party solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud resources, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents related to cloud infrastructure. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual intervention.
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability. Regularly test recovery procedures to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, processes, and procedures. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to support cloud-based applications and services. Provide technical guidance and support as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices. Participate in training, certifications, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or College Diploma in Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in cloud operations (experience with both Azure and AWS is preferred)
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
