We are currently looking for a Junior Integration Analyst?to supplement our dynamic team in a?TERM position.?Reporting to the Lead Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for development and support of the Oracle Fusion Middleware integrations and related components following the Nova Scotia Power methodologies and architecture principles. As a member of Nova Scotia Power's IT Team, you will join an energetic group of responsive professionals providing IT services to the Emera group of Canadian companies.
Key elements of this role include:
Accountabilities:?The Junior Integration Analyst is a technical role which requires knowledge of middleware products and their utilization within Nova Scotia Power's integration landscape. The Junior Integration Analyst?needs to maintain a thorough understanding of all application related business processes and can support the following functions:
- Apply and troubleshoot quarterly server patching
- Develop new integrations.
- Support Integration environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve application problems.
- Manage and execute application changes using standard change management methodologies.
- Answer customer questions regarding product usage.
- Provide proactive application monitoring.
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing business policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations.
- Manage application support issues using standard tracking tools, log customer questions, and track issues through to completion.
- Ensure effective use of application security and controls by communicating application policies, procedures, and practices to the application users.
- Perform project and operational tasks with good overall quality, while being able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Perform asset management tasks including technical reviews, development and testing of disaster recovery plans and business impact analysis.
- Interact with vendors to resolve application problems and research information.
- Maintain relationships with business partners and system users.
- Provide after-hours support on rotation.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
These skills will make you successful:
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:?The successful candidate must have a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering in a related discipline?and an interest in working within a middleware framework in an Enterprise application environment.
Knowledge or experience the following is an asset:
- Working knowledge of Java and open-source software (J2EE, JSON, RESTful & SOAP web services etc.).
- Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion middleware.
- Administration experience with WebLogic.
- Administration experience with Oracle SOA Suite.
- Administration experience with Oracle Service Bus (OSB).
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
Bonus points:
- Administration experience with OHS/MFT/ODI, including architecture experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience in design & development of an enterprise level SOA or middleware platform would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Oracle patching methodologies
You must have the ability to work in a fluid team environment in development and middleware support involving multi-tiered systems integration. Strong analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills are required as well as strong verbal, written and people skills. You are comfortable with various project management methodologies. You have the ability to develop trusting relationships, communicate effectively, and provide valued guidance to ensure success.
