Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Field Operations, the Senior Manager is responsible for developing business strategies and tactical plans for their region, which supports corporate values and objectives in the areas of Health & Safety, Customer Service, Efficiency, Revenue, and Product Promotion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages all operational aspects of a specific geographical region such as team effectiveness, quality, rework, customer service and Health & Safety performance.
  • Coach and mentor a team of Managers; provides developmental opportunities and evaluates progress.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process of Field Operation Managers and evaluates management headcount on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Senior Managers, Regional Resolution team, union etc.) to achieve team targets and corporate objectives.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings to review performance strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze team results and develop action plans to address opportunities.
Critical Qualifications
  • People management experience – minimum 5 years experience in a position with direct reports.
  • Previous experience in Field Services is a considerable asset.
  • Ability to source, coach and develop talent.
  • Strong strategic thinking and flawless execution.
  • Strong focus on improving customer service.
  • Proven experience in building positive relationships with business leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid business acumen; must be able to understand the organization's key drivers to success and make appropriate decisions in required time frames.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Able to motivate and influence others towards exceeding objectives and goals.
