PAL Airlines is seeking full-time a Cargo Agent to join our St. John's, NL team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accepting and handling cargo;
• Creating shipping documents, including bills, invoices and reports
• Tracking shipping details, including cargo contents, weight and transportation time
• Provide customer service face to face, by phone and email
• Use of multiple computer operating systems
• Loading, offloading and sorting freight (Aircraft, truck & warehouse)
• Operate forklift
• Organizing warehouse
• Accept & handle Dangerous goods
• Manage cargo supplies and inventory;
• Perform general office duties as required;
• General accounting and completion of daily sales reports;
• Other Duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in providing customer service in a fast pace environment;
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills;
• Must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills as well as excellent problem solving skills as this position requires on the spot decision making;
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment;
• Must be able to obtain a clear Record of Conduct.
• Ability to lift weight up to 50lbs
• Must be able to work flexible work shifts
• Must have valid drivers licence
• Must obtain or possess an airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
• Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.
