The Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Ambulance and Transport Services Branch as a Quality Assurance Officer for one (1) year, in Fredericton.
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will:
- Ensure that ambulance services are delivered in accordance with the Ambulance Service Act, Regulations, Standards and Contract, through monitoring and auditing of reports related to clinical care, operational service delivery and direct field inspections;
- Responsible for asset management and researching Emergency Management Services (EMS) industry standards to ensure the service provider has the most effective practices in place;
- Health Emergency Management exercise planning, delivery and evaluation.

Essential Qualifications:
- Certified Paramedic registered with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick.
- Three (3) years of related experience, to include experience in quality assurance and/or emergency medical services operations.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.
Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who possess the following asset qualifications:
- Certificate in Emergency Health Services Management
- Knowledge of EMS dispatch systems
- Incident Command System Training
Candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualifications, in addition to the essential qualification, in order to be given further consideration.
The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
- Travel throughout the province is required.

Salary: $52,442 to $73,268 per annum (Pay Band 3)
