We are recruiting for a Legislative and Human Resources Administrator for a 12-month term position.

The Legislative and Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support to the Office of the CAO, Council, Human Resources, and the Communications team. This position also provides reception backup for the Finance and Planning & Department reception points.

What you can offer:

  • You have completed a community college level certificate or diploma in an administrative support service or related discipline (generally 12-18 month).
  • You have related experience in an office environment, preferably in a government or legal setting.
  • You have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook at an advanced level.
  • If you have experience using graphic design software or finance-related software, that would be an asset.
  • You are detail-oriented, can work independently, can take initiative, and exercise good judgment in confidential and sensitive matters.
  • You have excellent writing and editing skills.
  • You have the ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members, members of the general public, senior government officials, elected officials, and other partners.
  • You have a solid understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in a customer service-focused environment.
  • You have the ability to work outside of normal business hours on a planned schedule, in order to attend Council meetings and other related meetings.

Annual salary: $49,946.00 - $62,433.00
