CASE REVIEWER
(Administrative Services Level 4)

The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the Finance and Administration Branch as Case Reviewer in its Central Office located in Fredericton.
As a member of the Audit Services Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for validating client information over the telephone, for the purpose of determining continuing eligibility for financial assistance; informing the client of departmental programs and/or services that will assist the client in exiting the system; completing a detailed summary of the client conversation in the case management system; and creating tasks for the Case Manager on all cases requiring follow up action. Other duties will include compiling status reports regarding the financial impact of recommended actions. The above duties require the ability to interpret the Department's policies and procedures. Since all client contact will be by telephone, the candidate must be highly skilled at establishing an environment of trust in order that clients will provide accurate and comprehensive information.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED supplemented by successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma and five (5) years related work experience OR a High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of related work experience in a client service environment.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualifications:
- Dealing with clients over the phone and completing detailed summaries of conversations;
- Administration of policies and procedures; and
- Compiling status reports and preparing financial impact summaries.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.

Salary: $47,216 to $57,330 per annum.
