Job Summary
NL Health Services Eastern Urban is inviting applications for a Hematologist position within the Division of Hematology in St. John’s, NL.
The successful candidate will work within the Division of Hematology to provide inpatient and outpatient care. The hematology inpatient ward service is located at the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s. Hematology outpatient practice intakes consultations from all regions of NLHS. The successful candidate will attend on inpatient ward service and hematology consult service equably with the other 9 members of the Division of Hematology
The Health Sciences Center is a tertiary care hospital that receives referrals from the entire province. It is affiliated with Memorial University and is the primary training center for medical students and residents. Opportunities exist for an appointment with Memorial University Faculty of Medicine.
Required Qualifications
- To be considered candidates must hold a MD
- Certification in Hematology and Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL.
- Satisfy credentialing requirements of Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
