Title : Community Service Worker

In this role, you will :

• Assisting Coordinators with scheduling of client assessments for seniors seeking assistance from the Seniors' Transportation program.
• Gaining experience and knowledge in completing over the phone client assessments and eligibility criteria evaluations to assess clients' situation and to determine the types of services required/needed.
• Assisting with the scheduling of client and volunteer rides within geographical area.
• Assisting with volunteer recruitment and retention.
• Administrative duties such as typing letters, documents, and presentations.
• Answering the telephone and general inquiries for the public.
• Preparing and distributing public service announcements.
• Answering general inquiries about the program and receiving referrals.
• Assisting with information booths to help with program growth and expansion, as requested.

What we are looking for :

• Excellent interpersonal and recording skills.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office software applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook).
• Organizational skills and the ability to understand detailed information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and pays attention to detail.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving problems.

Working conditions :

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment.
