The Corporate Services and Community Funding Division provides departmental services including financial management, strategic planning and performance excellence, as well as oversight of human resources management and information technology development and support. It provides oversight and administration services for the Canada Community Building Fund, and the provincial Environmental Trust Fund. The division provides technical support and engineering advice to communities in addressing their infrastructure concerns as they relate to the applicable funding programs.
The Department of Environment and Local Government provides integrated stewardship through planning and management of land use, and waste management issues. It ensures effective enforcement of, and compliance with, environmental legislation and regulations and provides effective consultation and liaison with local governments, regional service commissions and Rural Districts on governance related issues.
What you will do?
As a member of the Corporate Services and Community Funding Division, you will be responsible to:
- provide a wide range of secretarial and administrative support (i.e. coordinate translation requests, mail sorting, photocopying, filing, correspondence, etc.)
- respond to telephone and email inquiries,
- coordinate various meetings,
- manage office supplies, and
- perform other related duties as required.
This role will also support the Information Management Services branch with the following tasks:
- SharePoint administration,
- software license and access management,
- divisional information technology requests and
- perform other related tasks as required

Essential qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, supplemented by a minimum of a one (1) year post-secondary program in Office Administration, or in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc)
- Experience administering SharePoint
- Experience working with confidential information.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

Wage
Administrative Services Level 3: $ $1,625 to $ $1,971 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week
Work environment
- Office location: 20 McGloin (Marysville Place), Fredericton.
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30 (office schedule)
