Ability New Brunswick is seeking a passionate, self-motivated and resourceful Manager for the Para NB - Sport & Recreation program. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, development and delivery of the provincial Para NB - Sport & Recreation program including its four core services: Consultation & Information, Recruitment, Accessibility Reviews and the adapted sport and recreation Equipment Loan Service. The successful candidate will work with persons with a physical disability, Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs), disability organizations, recreation organizations, parks, the provincial government, municipalities, schools and facilities to build capacity and lead a program that engages New Brunswickers with a physical disability in parallel sport and recreation.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Sport Administration, Sport Management, Physical Education, or Recreation Management
• Proven abilities in program development, implementation and evaluation
• Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal, relationship-building, public-speaking and group facilitation skills
• Previous experience in management, planning, grant-writing, financial management and human resources management
• Understanding of the sport and recreation delivery systems, and disability service delivery systems at the community and provincial level
• Above-average writing skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience coaching, participating and/or working in the field of sport and recreation for athletes with a physical disability is an asset
• Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset

Starting salary: $50,000 to $54,000 + benefit package. Travel throughout New Brunswick with occasional overnight stays and access to reliable transportation is required.
