Operational Technology Work Execution Planner

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is offering a challenging and exciting opportunity to join our team. Working in a creative, fast-paced environment, you'll be part of transforming the future of the province's energy sector. Our long term Asset Management plan includes an ambitious capital program to rebuild, renew and replace portions of our installed asset base.
You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of work execution activities for Hydro's Network Services, Operational Technology, and Cybersecurity groups. You will develop work schedules for office and field personnel to execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and capital work. This will include resource planning, material requisition, work breakdown structure development, critical path analysis, and overall development of annual work plans based on current schedule templates. You will act as a liaison between capital planning groups and work execution teams.
You will be required to problem solve and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects. You are expected to exercise a personal initiative and judgment in carrying out assigned duties as they relate to project planning. You will also make recommendations to improve Corporation's performance of its key goals and targets.
Job Requirements:
To excel in this position you will need to bring the following:
- Business, Commerce or Engineering degree, Technologist. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Proven and demonstrated communication skills;
- Experience in engineering project estimates and schedule, development and project management techniques;
- Membership in PMI and/or AACEI would be an asset;
- Ability to thrive as a participant within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resources;
- Experience in the area of telecommunications systems would be an asset;
- Experience working with MS Office applications;
- Knowledge and familiarity with estimation and scheduling software such as JD Edwards E1 and/or Oracle Primavera P6 would be an asset;
- You must possess a valid driver's license.
