We are currently seeking a Financial Applications Analyst to join our Finance team based in the Firm's Halifax, NS office.

Type of Position: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity:

An integral member of the Firm's Finance team, the Financial Applications Analyst is responsible for maintaining, updating and supporting the Firm's Financial Applications, including any modifications, customizations and 3rd party integrations.

The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the firm's Practice Management Software, Aderant Expert, and 3rd party integrations. In addition, the successful candidate will develop, implement and maintain reporting infrastructure to meet the Firm's financial and non-financial reporting requirements, troubleshoot advanced end-user and system issues, perform technical month-end and year-end close procedures as well as daily analysis of Financial Application infrastructure to ensure good working order.

Working closely with the Information Technology team, the successful candidate will develop and maintain end-user training resources as it relates to Financial Applications, troubleshoot and resolve Financial Applications infrastructure issues as well as support process improvement initiatives and assist with identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies. This position will also serve as a backup for Financial Applications tech support function.

If you hold a degree in Finance or Computer Science, possess 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role and have experience working in a legal or professional services environment - we want to hear from you!

Experience working with ERP solutions, MS Excel & SQL server would be considered an asset in this role.
