Requirements:
- Graduation from a recognized College or University with related work experience.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and academic training will also be considered.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience in event planning and execution an asset; Supervisory experience.
- At least two (2) years' experience in a direct supervisory role.
- Knowledge of cutting-edge digital marketing trends.
- A proven track record of measuring results and recommending changes.

Reporting to the Manager of Tourism & Events, the successful applicant will manage one of Fredericton's most celebrated experiences: The Garrison Night Market. They will coordinate Canada Day celebrations and FROSTival, as well as work with major festivals and events taking place within the Historic Garrison District. It is a chance to work at the heart of community events that spark joy, and create lasting memories. Working as part of a team of coordinators, the successful applicant will work closely with the Operations & Product Development Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, tourism industry partners and community stakeholders to encourage and facilitate events within the Garrison District.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and curate the Garrison Night Market.
- Continue to evolve the Garrison Night Market as a dynamic showcase experience in Fredericton's downtown.
- Organize and deliver Fredericton's Canada Day celebrations, including planning, coordination, and execution of events.
- Work with tourism industry to develop and execute Fredericton FROSTival, Atlantic Canada's largest winter celebration.
- Encourage third party organizers to create events and festivals for the Historic Garrison District.
- Develop, implement, and manage our web and social media content for the Historic Garrison District.
- Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment, initiative, and creativity, and be able to deal effectively with the public and the tourism industry and community stakeholders in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner.
- Over time, the tasking, and duties of individual coordinators in the team may change within the product development mandate of the Tourism Division.
- Other duties and roles, managing various programs or services of the department, may also be required.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
- Some weekend and evening work, irregular hours and overtime are required on occasion.

- NB Class 5 driver's license is an asset.
