As part of the Corporate Communications team, the Communications Specialist will have a focus in digital communications and will be responsible for managing and analyzing the digital presence of NB Power as well as creating content.

Key functions include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital presence strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Manage and optimize the digital content across multiple platforms, including website, social media, and email communications.
  • Monitor and analyze online conversations, customer feedback, and digital trends.
  • Develop and implement proactive and reactive strategies for managing NB Power's online presence.
  • Track key performance indicators and provide reports on the effectiveness of digital strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create content that supports business objectives and enhances NB Power's online presence, and to ensure digital content is accessible, engaging, and optimized for search engines.
  • Stay up to date on emerging digital communication trends and technology to continuously improve NB Power's digital presence.

Our ideal teammate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline, Individuals who have a diploma will require an additional two years of related work experience
  • Eight years of relevant experience in a communications role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and driving audience interaction.
  • Capable of working independently, managing time efficiently delivering quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong video and graphic design skills will be considered assets.

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.


An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
