About the Role
The Program Manager, Provincial Enterprise Imaging, reports to the Director of Patient Access and Specialty Clinical Systems and works closely with the Provincial Medical Imaging Program leadership team. In this role, you will be accountable for provincial leadership and direction in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Digital Health solutions supporting the delivery of provincial medical imaging programs and services within NL Health Services.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, overseeing, planning, and organizing activities related to the ongoing development and support of enterprise imaging systems such as PACS, and related third-party post-processing applications, with key responsibilities including governance, subject matter expertise, change management, communications, and policy development and alignment.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the provincial program and ensuring compliance with provincial policies and applicable regulatory standards including privacy and security standards, ensuring system integrity, and the development of efficient workflows and operational processes.
- Providing digital health leadership to provincial and regional working groups responsible for the development and ongoing sustainability of program guidelines, training, privacy, security, and other related activities.
- Overseeing the development and management of an ongoing continuous quality improvement process.
- Leading the selection and implementation of appropriate standards for provincial Enterprise Imaging Program solutions by developing, influencing, and/or participating in provincial Medical Imaging standards initiatives; continuing to monitor and evaluate the uptake and compliance to selected standards and established protocols.
- Planning and managing divisional staff by ensuring compliance with proper human resource management policies and procedures in recruitment, performance management and employee relations issues.
- Developing annual budget, monitoring financial activities, and reporting significant variances while demonstrating sound fiscal management.
About You
Your education and experience include:
- Specialized bachelor’s degree or diploma in Medical Radiography preferred; or a health-related field supplemented by relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years working in a progressively responsible health care management role, of which, 3 years of experience in a people management role is preferred. This experience would include leading work teams and assigning resources to support the achievement of organizational objectives.
- Experience leading a highly skilled technical team.
- Experience planning and maintaining budgets, and operational plans.
- Experience in establishing strong relationships with contractors/vendors.
- Implementation or system utilization experience in the Medical Imaging preferred.
- Leadership and management training preferred.
- Privacy training preferred.
- Project management training preferred.
