The Opportunity
This position evaluates energy efficiency opportunities for commercial and residential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of commercial projects, this involves evaluating the energy savings and peak demand potential, evaluating the program economics and compiling project development agreements.
- Advise the Energy Solutions team of demand side management and electrification technologies and services.
- Advise on the technical side of program evaluations from third party evaluators.
- Support comprehensive research studies such as potential studies and other findings from program pilots.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the commercial sector.
- Deliver presentations and participate in engagement opportunities.
- Contribute information/content for marketing materials, presentations, etc. from a technical perspective.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of the takeCHARGE EV Charging network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL).
- 3-5 years' experience working in an electrical utility.
- Experience with energy efficiency and electrification technologies, with the ability to assess customer load and understand electricity usage and patterns.
- Understanding of acceptable measurement and verification processes for evaluation.
- Ability to manage third party relationships.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
