The New Brunswick Housing Corporation is seeking an individual to join the Tenant and Landlord Relations Office as Information Agent.
As a member of the Tenant and Landlord Relations Office team, you will be responsible for responding to requests for intervention in tenancy matters between landlords and tenants with regards to the Residential Tenancies Act
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responding to requests and inquiries received in person, by phone, email, or online submission
- Gather information, review, assess, and respond to applications for assistance and disputed claims
- Maintain client file records and other database information
- Attempt conciliation between landlords and tenants
- Manage time sensitive and urgent tenancy situations
- Educate and inform the public on tenancy rights and obligations and Residential Tenancies Tribunal services
- Training and coaching administrative support staff
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from High School supplemented by a one-year related post-secondary diploma plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English AND French is required for some vacancies while other vacancies require written and spoken competence in English only. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience working with and/or knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
- Experience or training in conflict resolution
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- On occasion, some travel throughout the province may be required.
- This position may require limited flexibility in working hours, with occasional weekday evening or weekend work.
- Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
