The Medavie Talent Acquisition Team is growing and we are looking for a Technical Recruitment Coordinator to join our team on a 12 month term! In this role you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition and Information Technology team to support the recruitment cycle, connect with top IT talent, and provide a world-class candidate experience!

Your mission in the IT space will be to attract and retain employees with the skills that align to our IT & Digital strategy and represent Medavie's brand and culture. You'll work with some of the best and brightest, helping to identify key talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the full cycle recruiting process, including; posting positions, screening resumes, short-listing candidates, conducting telephone pre-screen interviews, coordinating assessments, processing reference checks and security clearance documents and maintaining reports
  • Connect with candidates in a timely manner to ensure their application is acknowledged and they receive notification of their status of application through our ATS (Applicant Tracking System) - we use Workday
  • Coordinate and participate in IT-specific career fairs and recruitment related events both onsite (in your province) and virtually
  • Assist with new hire onboarding processes by answering questions of new employees and supporting Recruitment Consultants with new hire documentation as required
  • Provide technical assistance to candidates who may require support in applying to positions online
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Talent Acquisition, HR, Candidates and other internal stakeholders to ensure achievement of recruitment goals
  • Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques to acquire critical talent for IT business areas
  • Support IT recruitment initiatives that focus on proactive staffing efforts and ensure alignment with the IT department's vision, and strategic objectives

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years experience in a Talent Acquisition support function with hands-on experience in IT/Technical recruitment
  • Post secondary education with concentration in Business, HR, IT or a combination of education and experience
  • Bilingualism in English and French (written and spoken) is a definite asset
  • Proven screening experience for highly specialized positions in IT in a virtual environment
  • Highly effective listening skills to uncover candidate's experience and qualifications as they relate to the position
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in order to describe IT positions to candidates and sell the Medavie brand and our Core Values.
  • Exceptional written communication skills to document candidate conversations
  • A multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and with the ability to learn new tasks quickly
  • Ability to take direction and work autonomously to solve-problems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with an ATS - Applicant Tracking System (Workday preferred) and other recruitment tools and technology
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage high volumes
  • Adaptable and can deal with changing requirements
  • Passion for staying on top of all things 'sourcing tech' - new tools, chrome extensions, events, webinars and everything in-between
