The Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development is seeking individuals to establish an inventory of qualified candidates to fill current and future Project Manager positions within the Crown Lands Branch, in Fredericton.
As a member of the Approvals team and reporting to the section Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating applications for the use of Crown land, including: assessing the scope of each application, determining additional input and review requirements; coordinating inter-agency reviews; compiling and evaluating data and consulting with stakeholders as required; resolving conflicts or deficiencies; preparing recommendations, legal documentation and background information for approval; preparing correspondence to applicants, affected public, and resource contacts; determining the terms and conditions required in order to finalize land transactions; maintaining project records and maintaining data in the Land Use Management System; and performing other related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A University degree in Science, Land Planning, Geography, Law, Business Administration, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Management, and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in project management, resource management, land management or property law; OR; a two-year technical diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in any two (2) or more of the following: project management, resource management, land management or property law. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Some positions require written and spoken competence in French and English. Others will require written and spoken competence in English only. Please state your language capability on your application.

- Project management;
- Planning and organizing skills;
- Written communication.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be prepared to: travel throughout the province as required; and possess a valid class 5 driver licence as issued by the Province of New Brunswick, or equivalent.
SALARY: $57,616 to $80,574 per annum
