As part of the Inventory Planning & Operation team, the Storekeeper is responsible for accurately receiving, sorting, organization and controlling materials in inventory; promptly issuing requested materials to customers; coordinating timely delivery of materials in the most efficient, cost-effective manner within the Warehousing Operation for NB Power.

Key functions may include:

  • Operate the storeroom location by receiving, issuing, controlling, sorting, transporting and expediting material.
  • Perform general duties related to the maintenance of buildings, ground and vehicles at the operating center.
  • Mentor junior employees and temporary replacements on the job function.

Our ideal teammate will have:

  • College Diploma with a Supply Chain Designation OR High School Diploma (those with a High School Diploma or equivalent will require one additional year of related work experience)
  • One year of experience working in Inventory Planning & Operations as a Storekeeper or Utility Person
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a good driving record
  • Knowledgeable on all aspects of receiving, issuing and managing inventory Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook & Excel)
  • Preference will be given to candidates with SAP or an equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience and/or experience operating a forklift and/or other heavy equipment.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
