JOB PURPOSE
The Audiologist is responsible for providing assessment, consultation and rehabilitation services for individuals with auditory and/or vestibular disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Masters degree in Audiology.
- Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and eligible for membership with the Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Audiologist is responsible for:
- Assess, plan, and provide therapy to individuals and groups
- Document assessments, interventions, treatment plans, communication with the care team
- Provide guidance and support to therapy assistants and other health care providers
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
- Prepare and present information and education sessions
- Provid mentoring and support for students
- Participate in developing, maintaining and evaluating policies and procedures
- Participate in developing and sharing information related to clinical skill sets, best practices and clinical guidelines
