The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Maintenance Engineering & Reliability Team in Long Harbour, NL. Relocation to the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador will be required for this role.
This is a permanent on-site position, working a 4x10s Monday to Thursday schedule at our Long Harbour Operations Site.
As a Senior Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for delivering improved performance of the assets by implementing and optimizing the reliability program for the processing facilities they support.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Identify and addresses asset reliability issues in the operations ensuring best practices for asset uptime are standardized and shared across the business.
- Provide recommendations on strategic investment in equipment, technology, and initiatives to optimize asset value.
- Develop the Asset Strategy by identifying asset criticality to the business, setting service strategy based on performance required, and driving reliability and cost-effective lifecycle management by using tools like RCM and FMEACs. These strategies encompass routine maintenance and integrity management and are part of the baseline strategy review developed for new assets as part of operational readiness.
- Conduct Reliability Analysis and Improvement (analyzing trends, KPIs – MTTR/MTBF, data analysis, bad actor failure analysis and optimization).
- Perform reliability studies applying tools such as RCM to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
- Works with site resources (operators and/or tradespeople) to optimize preventitave maintenace task methodology, content, and sequencing of work to provide the safest and most efficient execution of work.
About You
Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree is required.
- Preference may be given to Mechanical Engineer.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation with PEGNL is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of Reliability Engineering experience.
- Previous Reliability experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience applying RCM principles is considered an asset.
- Experience in Reliability Based Inspection, Reliability Centred Analysis, and Reliability Systems Analysis software.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of codes, regulations, and specifications.
- Strong computer skills in SAP would be an asset.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills.
