NLHS – Labrador- Grenfell Zone requires a dynamic manager to provide creative leadership, support, and direction to the Ambulatory Care and Oncology Departments at the Labrador West Health Center, Labrador Health Center and Curtis Memorial Hospital. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with excellent leadership, communication, planning and organizational skills, a critical thinker with experience in quality improvement and risk management initiatives to promote optimal delivery of client care. The Manager of Ambulatory Care and Oncology is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and direction to the staff. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Services.

Qualifications:
? Baccalaureate degree in a health-related discipline or other related degree is required.
? Current registration/licensure in the relevant professional association is required.
? A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a registered health care provider is required.
? A minimum of two (2) years’ management/leadership experience is an asset
? Proven ability to supervise, support, and guide staff.
? Leadership ability, strong interpersonal communication, and human relation skills.
? Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
? Computer skills including Microsoft word, power point, and excel databases and spreadsheets.
? Proven ability to work independently and exercise considerable judgment and initiative in performing duties.
? Successful completion of management education or willingness to complete (within timeframe designated by employer.
? The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Plans, organizes, manages and evaluates programs and services for the Ambulatory Care and Oncology Departments.
? Provides leadership and guidance to members of the team.
? Financial accountability including completion, submission and authorization of payroll; monitoring annual and operating budgets.
? Policy and standard development.
? Responsible for preparing performance evaluations in accordance with the authority's performance evaluation program including attendance management issues.
? Manages CSRS, PIERS, Vanessa’s Law and Archibus.
? Collaborates with managers, team leads, coordinators, the Director of Clinical Services and the Senior Director Hospital & Clinical Services to set goals and build outcomes for the programs.
? Identifies resources and staffing needs throughout the zone within the programs of responsibility, assists in recruiting and conducts employee interviews.
? Implements strategies to effectively increase access, decrease wait times and improve client flow.
? Recognizes cultural diversity and acts as a champion to ensure patients receive culturally safe care.
? Attends meetings, teleconferences, and acts as a department representative as required.
? Participates in provincial committees/working groups, as appropriate.
? Other related duties as required.
