Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Platform Developer II in our Bell MediaTV unit, you'll be part of a Platform Engineering team, architecting and delivering a exceptional developer
experience with reusable infrastructure, services, software components, and tools, powering up the next-gen Bell Fibe TV product.
We are looking for a proactive and skilled professional who thrives in a dynamic, technology-driven environment and is eager to contribute to the growth
and innovation of an established Platform Engineering team. You will have the following key responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain hybrid-cloud infrastructure and platform components, leveraging industry-leading DevOps practices.
- Contribute to the development of tools that enable frictionless developer workflows
- Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and challenges
- Design and develop resilient, sophisticated and scalable solutions for millions of Canadians
- Implement new tools, technologies and approaches to continuously improve productivity, reliability and system performance
- Document processes and create guides for developers, and provide support when required
- Participate in incident response and develop solutions to prevent recurrence
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform engineering role or software development role
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and tools (Ansible, Terraform, Crossplane)
- Practical knowledge of containerization and platform technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and dealing with monorepo code structure
- Practical, solid knowledge of shell scripting and higher-level language (Java, Typescript, Go) as well as build tools (Gradle, Nx)
- Operational knowledge of distributed systems and services like MongoDB, Kafka, Redis
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, web application security, and experience supporting multi-tier web application architectures.
- Strong aptitude for innovation and learning new technologies
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Previous experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role
- Hands-on experience with GCP and AWS services
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Strong IP networking skills
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Ability to lead technical teams through design and implementation
