Reporting to the Senior Manager, Auto Claims, in your role as a team manager, you will be overseeing and leading the activities of auto claims adjusters to ensure they provide a legendary client experience.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
Lead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employees.
Ensure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct.
Communicate productivity objectives to employees and contribute to the achievement of business objectives by meeting or exceeding individual and team goals.
Balance the needs of the client and those of the insurer when addressing client escalations.
Recruit for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce to achieve business objectives.
Approve accurate and timely reserving of claims as well as approve payments and verify files.
Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all insurance claims.
Support the development and implementation of claims strategies to achieve business objectives and goals.
Plan and execute business activities, review, and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly.
Industry accreditation and training on an ongoing basis is a requirement of the role.
Job Requirements
You have previous experience leading a team of claims adjusters (considered a strong asset).
You have 3+ years claims adjusting experience (multiple lines would be considered an asset).
You are focused on providing clients with the best possible experience.
You maintain a positive demeanor and foster team spirit.
You possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
You have excellent organization and time management skills and you have demonstrated good attendance and promptness.
You have demonstrated your ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
You can effectively lead change and help foster an environment open to change.
You possess strong typing and computer skills and are proficient with Xactanalysis/Xactimate, Guidewire ClaimCenter and Microsoft Office.
Bilingual French/English is considered an asset
