Responsibilities

What you will be doing…

  • Reporting to the Student Finance Lead, your primary responsibilities will include: Using Peoplesoft Campus Solutions and Peoplesoft Finance to provide support for Administrative Services staff with regards to student financial data, issue resolution, and general student account updates.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for staff and students seeking assistance from Central Student Finance, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Addressing and resolving inquiries related to student financial data, providing clear guidance and solutions.
  • Efficient processing of student refund requests, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and timely disbursement.
  • Maintaining and managing large amounts of accurate student account information, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a College Diploma in Business or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in finance or accounting. Experience in accounting procedures, analytical review, and compiling financial reports is required.
  • You have experience working with large amounts of student and/or client financial data in PeopleSoft or a similar ERP system. This includes student/client financial data management.
  • You have experience analyzing and providing recommendations on large amounts of student and/or client financial data including the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • You have experience providing exceptional customer service and can address and respond to inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • You have experience with account reconciliation and billing including issuing invoices. You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite (including extensive experience with Excel), and e-mail.
  • You have extensive experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as PeopleSoft.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment and take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a post-secondary environment would be considered an asset.
