Job Summary
Reporting to the Zone Director of Pharmacy Services, this position is responsible for the management and operational leadership of Pharmacy Services at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and the Mental Health and Addictions Centre. The manager is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources, as well as the quality of services provided. This position is also accountable for oversight and provision of outpatient medication distribution services on a regional basis. The manager is responsible for participation in committee work; financial management including budgeting; participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of Pharmacy Services strategic directions and objectives as well as process improvement projects; and human resources management including performance reviews and attendance management. In accordance with the College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador, this position may be required to function as the Pharmacist in Charge for the responsible site(s).
Job Qualifications
Education
Graduation from an approved School of Pharmacy is required.
Completion of a hospital residency program is an asset.
Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Business or a related field
is an asset.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience within the last seven (7) in a hospital pharmacy environment with experience with managing projects of a complex nature.

Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities related to the pharmaceutical supply chain, clinical therapeutics, technology and informatics management, in the urban and rural healthcare settings (which include: acute care, community and long term care).

Current registration/licensure with the College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador.
