The Manager, Professional Services Sourcing is responsible for supporting and leading Bank-wide sourcing initiatives and procurement activities, with a focus on human-related Professional & IT Services and project activities working closely with senior business unit leadership and other sourcing leaders.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Actively source and procure human-related Professional & IT Services, irrespective of technology, location or service delivery models.
- Track sourcing initiatives for multi-functional stakeholder teams, promoting effective strategy development, market assessments, RFx processes, contract and supplier negotiation, and supplier management while enabling collaboration between stakeholders and suppliers.
- Explain and provide examples of how best to source for human-related Professional & IT services, things to avoid and how to get the most out of the event (without reading a procedure).
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to fully understand current and future needs and requirements, including spend and business drivers.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Appreciation of how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities, including contracting and sourcing recommendations.
- Awareness of the Canadian & Latin American banking or financial services industry, including relevant regulations considered an asset.
- Expert English reading, writing and speaking proficiencies is a must.
- Active listening skills, can ask clarifying questions, and document decisions or discussions.
- Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills.
- An analytical mindset, with attention to detail, and with story-telling abilities.
- Contract drafting, review and negotiation experience.
- Experience with various service delivery models.
- A self-starter, who takes the initiative, but is also willing to fail to learn (within reason), who never fails to ask if unsure or unclear.
- Having previously sold or procured Professional Services for IT related engagements for you client (e.g. sold to a financial institution) would be considered an advantage.
- The ability to teach others and be taught, as well as the willingness to adapt to legacy and/or new systems, tools and processes.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with global stakeholder groups, as well as bridging communications between said groups with a focus on developing an understanding of how to structure IT Services contracts to deliver against bank's needs.
- Experience in developing, evolving, managing and/or supporting a sourcing category would be an advantage.
- Experience sourcing as a sole contributor or as part of a team of an end-to-end project or program, covering various sourcing categories (e.g. Professional Services plus Software etc.) will be considered an advantage
- Spanish and French language proficiencies would be considered an advantage.
