Department Overview
The Workforce Effectiveness team within the Organization Effectiveness Centre of Excellence (OE COE) is responsible for driving enterprise alignment, strategy and capabilities needed to ensure TD has the workforce and insights to deliver on current and future needs. We bring market insights, future-focused workforce strategies, and cutting-edge solutions to ensure TD is well-positioned with critical capabilities and exceptional talent to drive future business outcomes.
The Workforce Effective team works closely with HR COEs, HR business partners, technology partners and senior business leaders to support business strategy and enable the future workforce at TD.
Job Description
TD is taking a future-oriented approach to advance our skills-based talent management approach and strategic workforce planning capability in an increasingly competitive talent landscape, enabling us to understand and strategically reshape our workforce to meet tomorrow's challenges.
As Senior Manager, Workforce Effectiveness, you will lead enterprise-wide projects and/or programs centered on enhancing workforce insights and strategies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Methodology & Tools: Design and maintain consistent, integrated methodology and HR tools that bring together internal and external insights for skills-based talent management, strategic workforce planning, and assessing people effectiveness and risks.
Data-Driven Workforce Insights: Build deep understanding of our workforce and provide insights-driven advice to leaders, in partnership with Data & Analytics, HR COEs and HR Business Partners.
Workforce Effectiveness Assessments: Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments to provide a perspective on the maturity of a function's capability, capacity, and people practices. Provide Business Leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with integrated data driven insights and benchmarks to inform their people plans.
Skills Intelligence Strategy: Partner with technology teams to implement enterprise skills technology, and work with business leaders to baseline and scale skills data / insights to inform strategic workforce planning and skills-based talent strategies in collaboration with Talent COE partners.
Strategic Initiatives: Occasionally lead strategic workforce effectiveness projects, from start to finish, including problem definition, project scope, research, analysis, and recommendations.
Change Management: Integrate change management within workforce and skills intelligence strategies to support smooth transitions through strategic communication, stakeholder management, and colleague engagement to foster buy-in, adoption and sustainment.
Continuous Evolution: Contribute to OE COE and HR community development through peer coaching, capability development, sharing of emerging future-of-work trends to strengthen our people practices.
Job Requirements
Proven leadership in collaboratively developing and deploying a vision or methodology, and work across teams to impact/influence alignment.
High confidence and capability in navigating ambiguity, formulating methodologies and delivering work without precedence to create business and stakeholder value.
Creative thought leadership, constantly leveraging both internal and external insights as inspiration to find ways to innovate.
Ability to influence and motivate others, including those who do not have a direct reporting relationship to deliver results for new capability or significant change effort.
Excellent business acumen and analytical capabilities – ability to consolidate multiple sources of information into clear, concise analysis to support business decisions and actions.
Strong storyteller and communicator for senior executive audience, with excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Informed on emerging HR, industry and technology trends and potential workforce impacts.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required; Post Graduate degree in Business Administration, and/or HR would be an asset.
10+ years relevant experience in HR, Business, Management Consulting with significant exposure to the Financial Industry
