Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of Philrobben Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will also supervise and support our team of bookkeepers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Supervise and provide guidance to the team of bookkeepers.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial stability.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification preferred.
Minimum of 4 (four) years of accounting experience, preferably in industries related to renovations, construction, land development, business acquisitions, or janitorial services.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven leadership skills and experience managing financial operations and supervising staff.
