Job Summary:The Internal Medicine Program at Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services (NL Health Services) invites applicants interested in a full-time, salaried Hospitalist in the Division of Internal Medicine at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL. The Hospitalist will work independently, providing services in chronic disease management, acute inpatient care, long term care, palliative care, respite care, and emergency care/patient stabilization. This position is accountable to the Clinical Chief of the Medicine Program will be responsible for inpatient care (include arranging investigations/family meetings/availability to review patients during working hours). The position will provide inpatient care and onsite call coverage. The opportunity of Hospitalist is open to physicians with a background in Family Medicine.
Required Qualifications- To be considered candidates must hold a MD
- Eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeon
- of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)

- Satisfy credentialing requirements of Eastern Health including a satisfactory criminal

Remuneration: Salary and benefits for this position are to be paid in accordance with the
Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador. Starting salary will be based on years of clinical experience.
