HOME HEALTH CARE CONSULTANT

The Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Home Care Branch as a Home Health Care Consultant, in Fredericton.

As a Home Health Care Consultant, you will:

  • Lead and facilitate a collaborative approach to strategic planning, monitoring, and reporting on provincial home healthcare strategic priorities such as those related to the palliative care, seniors care, alternative level of care, interdisciplinary care planning, enhanced care coordination and primary care integration;
  • Establish and maintain communications and relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Lead and project manage the development of new initiatives;
  • Consult on decision making required within Government with respect to policy development, program development, design related to building and sustaining home healthcare initiatives;
  • Prepare reports and evaluate programs and services on home care key performance indicators;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in in Health Sciences or a related Health Care field.
  • Six (6) years of related experience to include experience working as a home healthcare provider in a leadership capacity within an interdisciplinary team as well as working with community partners across the health and social sectors.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.

Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following asset qualifications:

  • Project Management or Program Development.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system in New Brunswick.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications, in order to be given further consideration.

Salary: $76,622 to $101,920 per annum (Pay Band 6)
