We are excited to be expanding our accounting department and are currently hiring for the position of Payroll Accountant

Role Summary

The successful candidate's primary purpose is to provide sound financial services to RRSS while acting as a member of the Accounting Department Team.

Reporting to the Controller your responsibilities will include the following:

  • A combination of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
  • Preparation of Financial Statements.
  • Effective management of the Payroll functions.
  • Month-end and year-end procedures.
  • Documentation preparation for submission and reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration with specialization in Accounting.
  • Experience with accounting software and data entry.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have exceptional time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Compensation
