JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Weekend, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken English

JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the incumbent offers group sessions, support, coaching and / or skill training to clients referred by the clinician to facilitate their recovery. He works in collaboration with the involved professionals, people who lived through experience as well as other significant services and people involved. The work is usually done within the surroundings closest to the client and may include the community network. Needs are focused on recovery and may vary according to operational needs. He may also be asked to contribute to the other services within the Center.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma plus an additional program or course of over six months and up to one year in community integration or the equivalent;
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) or a commitment to take this training within set schedule;
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or a commitment to take this training within set schedule;
  • Skills using computer tools;
  • Ability to develop effective partnerships with the community-based services;
  • Valid driver's license and have a car with appropriate insurance to transport clients;
  • Good judgment and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
