Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscaping/Maintenance Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of landscaping and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will lead a team to ensure that properties are maintained to the highest standards, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate landscaping and maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Maintenance Operations: Plan, schedule, and oversee daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation system management, and seasonal clean-ups.
Project Management: Lead landscaping projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and alignment with client specifications.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with company standards and address any issues promptly.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring overall satisfaction with services rendered.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of budgets for landscaping projects and maintenance operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and industry standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety protocols and training.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in horticulture, landscape management, or related fields are a plus.
Proven experience in landscaping and maintenance, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, irrigation systems, and maintenance equipment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with some budget preparation and financial management.
Familiarity with sustainable landscaping practices and environmental regulations
