We are looking for a Full Time Research & Data Analytics Specialist to join our team at the Corporate Office!

Reprting to the Manager, Quality & Risk, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Data Science, Applied Health Research, Epidemiology, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a role related to data analytics, research, or a similar function, with a focus on data analysis, research methodology, and system integration,
  • Proven experience in the development and management of data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Strong background in research methodologies, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience with data integration and IT collaboration.
  • Healthcare or quality/risk management experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Certification in Data Analytics or Data Visualization is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

Data Analytics, Visualization & Management Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of interactive dashboards, reporting tools, and data systems to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and research outcomes, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including IT and program areas) to integrate and manage data across platforms, ensuring easy access, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and actionable insights to inform decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Develop and deliver detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate findings effectively, collaborating with Managers/Directors to address specific data needs
  • Ensure data integrity and quality by standardizing data collection methods, implementing quality control measures, and utilizing statistical methods and predictive modeling to support forecasting and optimization efforts.
  • Design, implement, and optimize data analytics systems to support quality improvement, performance management, and research initiatives, integrating insights into organizational decision-making.

Research Responsibilities

  • Lead and support research projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and research goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal research initiatives and external researchers requesting to collaborate, facilitating efficient project execution.
  • Chair Northwood's Research Advisory Council (RAC), overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings and related activities.
  • Track the progress of research activities, whether internal or external, maintaining detailed records, preparing periodic and ad hoc reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Assist with recruitment efforts for research projects, facilitate informed consent, engage with research participants, and ensure ethical standards are upheld throughout the research process, both for internal and external studies.

Hours: 80 hours bi-weekly (8 hour shifts)
