Job Summary
The Clerk IV provides advanced confidential administrative support to the Regional Director of the Medical Services Program. This position provides advanced Administrative support of a responsible and confidential nature to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the office of the Provincial Director of Medical Services as well as the overall Medical Services department. In carrying out these functions, the incumbent plays an integral role in month-end reporting activities, audit preparation processes and data base entry and management. As well as encompassing a full range of office administrative functions including production of correspondence, reports and presentations. Strong computer skills are required. As well, the candidate will maintain the Directors and managers calendars, organize meetings, prepare agendas; record minutes and carry out necessary follow up. The incumbent will organize and maintain effective file management systems, handle routine correspondence, and will be the first contact to the Department ensuring appropriate referral and follow up. This position will have daily interactions with Senior Executive, Directors, Physicians, and Managers, staff, internal and external clients.

Job Qualifications
Education
Graduation from High School or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized/approved two-year Office/Business Management Program from a recognized/approved college is required.
Experience
Minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
An excel test may be administered by Human Resources.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated effective problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a deadline driven, team-orientated environment.

A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
