Who we are:
The Village historique acadien is an open-air museum consisting of a 2.2 km trail, lined with some forty historical buildings, all animated by costumed interpreters who present the daily life of the Acadians from 1770 to 1949.
Since it opened in 1977, the Village offers many Acadian cultural experiences for the whole family. Ever evolving, this popular tourist site now has five restaurants and snack bars, one hotel as well as two boutiques. In full operation from June to September, the Village employs close to 200 people during the high tourist season.

What you will do:
As a member of the Village historique acadien, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling property, buildings and assets, as well as ensuring security when admitting visitors and employees.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Patrolling grounds to protect against fire, theft and vandalism
- Locking gates, buildings, vehicles, etc.
- Monitoring visitors/clients for adherence to rules/policies
- Granting access to public
- Operating light vehicles
- Performing other tasks as required
Who you are:
You are someone who possesses knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures. You are an effective interactive communicator and have good teamwork and cooperation skills. You are flexible and client service orientation driven. You maintain self control and stamina.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
Please attach a copy of your driver's license and a current Driver's Abstract (available from Service New Brunswick) with your application.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Completion of a recognized Security training program
- Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
- Experience working in a customer service environment
- Training in firefighting or first aid

Wage:
$25.27 per hour
Work environment:
- Working variable hours, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and additional hours when required
