About the Opportunity
As the Human Resources Manager, you will work closely with all Shannex HR functional teams and participate as an active member of the divisional Senior Management Team (SMT). You will provide support and guidance to the divisional operating leaders in the following ways:
• Provide employee and labour relations expertise including coaching, support and guidance to managers, supervisors and employees on all matters related to employee conduct;
• Collaborate with the HR Leadership Team to implement and support organization wide HR strategizes, initiatives and programs;
• Represent the organization at grievances, and arbitration hearings and serves as subject matter expert in the interpretation and administration of collective agreements
• Provide support on labour issues/grievances, investigations, and the Attendance Support Program
• Support operational leaders with return to work planning and review workplace incident reports to identify trends
• Work and collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan division level engagement and retention ideas and leverage appropriate internal resources to create needed program collateral and other supports
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring the following:
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
• Minimum four (4) years' experience in a leadership role within Human Resources
• Valid driver's license is required as travel is required between the various site in Ontario
• Strong leadership experience in multi-disciplinary environments
• Extensive experience in labour relations in a unionized environment including Collective Agreement applications, labour budgets and scheduling principles
• A passion for employee engagement strategies including retention initiatives and planning and have a strong ability to work between cross-functional teams to promote positive working relationships
• CPHR designation and/or a master's degree in Human Resources or other health-related field are considered assets
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
