The Software Developer will participate in the maintenance and development of one or more IT systems or auxiliary systems. Based on requests from users or system managers, the Developer will be responsible for analyzing and writing computer programs, as well as performing necessary tests to ensure the product meets the client's needs. The candidate will manage one or more technical environments in which corporate software operates. The role may also involve acting as an IT consultant or assisting with special tasks for users or corporate teams upon request. Additionally, the Developer may be required to support or back up higher-level business line specialists during their absence or when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze IT and technical needs submitted by users and design/develop appropriate solutions.
  • Write code for new features, bug fixes, and system error troubleshooting.
  • Conduct software tests to identify and resolve bugs and inconsistencies, ensuring the accuracy of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with team members to find creative and innovative solutions to problems.
  • Follow development and operational processes within the Agile team, adhering to ITSM processes.
  • Document work and production deployments in Cherwell and/or Azure DevOps, continuously updating documentation for all programs.
  • Occasionally participate in meetings with business line specialists to coordinate and ensure the completion of testing tasks with good communication with users.
Qualifications
  • Six (6) years of experience or more as a Developer or in a similar role.
  • Skills in Windows application development are an asset.
  • Knowledge of programming languages VB.net, C#, .Net, others.
  • Knowledge of technologies/methodologies COM+, DCOM, Client/Server systems.
  • Knowledge of database programming language MS SQL (PL-SQL).
  • General knowledge of Web programming (ASP.NET, JavaScript) and Web Services.
  • Knowledge of reporting systems (SSRS, XML, XSL, Aspose, Ibex).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Windows Scripts, Batch Files).
  • Knowledge of back-end programming (batch jobs).
  • Comfortable working on performance improvement of batch jobs or SQL queries.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and familiarity with Azure DevOps tools (boards, pipeline, repos, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English; able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
