As the global market leader in lighting solutions for the Marine & Offshore Energy sectors, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Sales (Regional) professional to join our team at our Mount Pearl facility.

Role Overview

In this Technical Sales role, you will be primarily responsible for developing new and existing business across Eastern Canada, driving the growth of Glamox's presence in this market, nurturing client relationships and providing technical sales support across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Build and expand Glamox's business within the Marine and Offshore Energy markets in Eastern Canada.
  • Regional Travel: Based in Mount Pearl, travel primarily throughout Eastern Canada to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Set and meet short- and long-term sales targets within the assigned market segment.
  • Product Expertise: Provide expert advice on lighting solutions, technical applications, and product specifications.
  • Project Support: Assist with specification work within Canada for global shipbuilding building projects.
  • Market Research & Reporting: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and pricing strategies. Contribute insights to growth objectives and implementation of agreed strategies.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update contact management software, ensuring accurate records and engagement tracking.
  • Event Participation: Represent Glamox at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
  • Marketing Support: Contribute to advertising, promotion, and marketing plans.
  • Annual Budgeting: Provide input for budget planning and strategy implementation specific to your market segment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in technical sales, particularly within the Marine and Offshore Energy sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with marine electrical systems and the marine lighting industry is a significant asset.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present, negotiate, and influence effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to establish and maintain long-term professional relationships.
  • Marketing Experience: Experience in marketing across multiple media channels is advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
