Key Responsibilities:

• Proactive & reactive security patrols
• Response to incidents
• Report writing
• Investigate routine incidents
• Monitoring LRV vehicles
• Patrol the construction site regularly to ensure security and identify potential risks or hazards.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms, ensuring the protection of property and materials.
• Enforce site-specific security procedures and guidelines.
• Check the credentials of workers and visitors entering and leaving the site.
• Prevent unauthorized access to the construction site.
• Respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or alarms.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Report any safety hazards, security breaches, or maintenance issues to the site supervisor.
• Maintain clear, detailed, and accurate logs of incidents, visits, and observations during shifts.
• Assist in crowd control and site evacuations in case of emergency.
• Provide security during non-working hours and ensure the site is properly secured at the end of each shift.

Prerequisites: Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) Covid Vaccine two dosesEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability

Site Description:
Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a design and construction consortium comprised of four different transportation infrastructures: ACS-Dragados, Aecon, EllisDon and SNC-Lavalin. CTS works with these four partners to design, construct, and finance a transit system consisting of 25 stations and stops, tracks, signals, and communication systems. CTS is responsible for building the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, which will run from Weston Road in the west to Kennedy Road in the east. CTS will maintain this infrastructure for the next 30 years.
Position: Full Time Security Guard
Site: Crosslinx Transit, 85 Industry Street
Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday - 2330-07030hrs. Payrate: $18.54/hr.
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Employment Standards Act (ESA) after 40 hours.
