As an employee of Medavie Health Services we are accountable to our patients and coworkers by participating in and supporting all safety related initiatives, as well as acting in a manner that fosters a culture that focuses on patient safety and a safe and respectful workplace.
The Community Paramedic (CP) will work with primary health care providers (family physicians, hospitals, clinics etc...) and be mobile in the community providing care to patients in their home or community setting. The CP will be an integral part of the continuum of care, acting as a liaison with physicians, nurses, and the greater medical community in meeting patient needs. The successful applicant will occasionally perform duties in relation to their ability and scope as a licensed Paramedic. It is expected that even in the CP position the successful applicant may be called upon to perform these duties at any point throughout a shift.
