This is a permanent position. As the Department Administrator, you will provide day-day support on a variety of administrative components such as administering payroll files for the hourly workforce, including entering Incentive time, supporting the grievance process, advise on HR policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Additionally, as Department Administrator, you will,
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports and metrics using data from multiple sources.
- Administer data for all employee change actions using the Vale HRIS system (Peoplesoft)
- Provide first-line response for general HR inquiries and maintain efficient time and attendance records.
- Ensure the integrity of payroll data, meet deadlines, and support entering Incentive Timesheets for Mines Operating employees.
- Manage the training bid administration process, provide support and training on various programs, and contribute to cost management goals.
- Administer the grievance process, maintain department files, support the annual vacation process, and coordinate health screenings.
- Certification in Business, Payroll or office Administration preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Administrator experience preferred, however recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in HRIS, SAP, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with knowledge of PeopleSoft as an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to explain information concisely and meet challenging deadlines.
- Demonstrates creative problem-solving, good judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling critical and sensitive information.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and work both independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
