Job Information and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Residence Services, the Manager, Residence Services will:

• Coordinate residence maintenance and custodial services with Facilities Management and contractors.
• Inspect common areas and individual residence areas.
• Prepare work orders and bill students.
• Maintain the physical integrity of the mechanical locking systems.
• Assist with maintaining access card systems.
• Assist in developing long term capital projects.
• Prepare and disseminate notices related to service interruptions and maintenance work in the residence complex.
• Assist with enforcement of assorted university and residence policies, including those related to prohibited items, decorations, pest control, etc.
• Inventory residence property (furniture, window screens, appliance, etc.) and maintain records in StarRez, etc.
• Provide residence services management service on an on-call basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including emergency response
• Hire and supervise student assistants.
• Assist with Residence Services operations, including the Residence Desk and RSO staff.
• Build strong positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Deliver the highest quality of service.
• Anticipate needs and develops a reputation for responsiveness.

• Facilitate the work of others.
• Seek input of others respecting diverse opinions and ideas.

Experience and Education Requirements

To be the successful Manager, Residence Services you will have:

• Completion of an Undergraduate Degree.
• Minimum two years' related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Experience / proficiency with StarRez will be considered an asset.
