About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent lead people to oversee the reliable operation of plant systems, including HVAC, compressed air, steam, and production assets. This role is essential in ensuring continuous operations by developing, enhancing, and administering the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program at our Windsor site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Supervise and assign tasks to the maintenance team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Lead ongoing development and performance management of the maintenance team.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Train junior staff on proper maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and participate in the safe and compliant installation of equipment.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage spare parts inventory, order equipment, and track maintenance tasks.
  • Work on shifts, including potential off-hour call-ins, to maintain operational continuity.

What You Bring To the Role:

  • B.Eng or B.Sc. in a relevant field OR a Trade certification (e.g., Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Stationary Engineer license) is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Bonus if you have a strong background in controls and instrumentation.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership skills, including emotional intelligence, team development, and organizational awareness.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CMMS systems, SAP.
  • Experience in a cGMP or CFIA-regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement methodologies.
