The Corporate Services and Community Funding Division provides departmental services including financial management, strategic planning and performance excellence, as well as oversight of human resources management and information technology development and support. It provides oversight and administration services for the Canada Community Building Fund, and the provincial Environmental Trust Fund. The division provides technical support and engineering advice to communities in addressing their infrastructure concerns as they relate to the applicable funding programs.
The Department of Environment and Local Government provides integrated stewardship through planning and management of land use, and waste management issues. It ensures effective enforcement of, and compliance with, environmental legislation and regulations and provides effective consultation and liaison with local governments, regional service commissions and Rural Districts on governance related issues.
What you will do? As a member of the Human Resources team and reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will be responsible to coordinate the recruitment activities and providing a variety of related administrative support services to the Human Resources Team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and tracking the approval of recruitment-related documentation;
- Preparing, formatting and proof-reading correspondence and documents;
- Establishing and managing multiple deadlines;
- Coordinating translation, proof reading, formatting, and posting competitions;
- Processing applications, scheduling tests and interviews, and communicating with candidates;
- Organizing testing and interview material;
- Administering testing;
- Screening and answering routine questions from applicants;
- Updating recruitment databases and spreadsheets, compiling statistics, and producing ad hoc reports;
- Creating and maintaining recruitment files according to records management procedures;
- Preparing and coordinating commencement packages and returning documentation for payroll;
- Second language Coordination.

Essential qualifications
- A one-year post-secondary diploma in business, clerical or office administration and a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Advanced experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SharePoint
- Experience in the field of Human Resources

Wage
ASL 4: $1,816.00 to $2,205.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week
Work environment
- Office location: 20 McGloin (Marysville Place), Fredericton.
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30 (office schedule)
