Faculty of Medicine
(Full-time, Contractual Position to June 30, 2026)

DUTIES

The successful applicant will be required to perform accounting and related clerical work in the Finance Office, Faculty of Medicine. Duties include assisting in the preparation of financial reports and claims for granting agencies; recording new grants/funds and filing documentation; maintaining a filing and tracking system for research accounting; ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies; preparing and checking daily and monthly reports; inventory control for the Faculty's fixed assets pertaining to the operating budget; receiving and tagging fixed assets; developing and maintaining the Faculty of Medicine fixed assets database and corresponding surplus disposal; operating the Banner Finance system; coordinating and liaising with Research Initiatives and Services (IRS), faculty and staff; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) in accounting and related clerical work; supplemented by the completion of a three-year business/accounting program; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of the Banner Finance System is considered an asset.

SALARY $50,294 - $58,998 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
